Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture is building the next generation of its customer identity platform, handling sign-up, login, verification and access control at scale. You will own authentication, session management and a unified login experience across web and mobile, reporting to the Engineering Manager within Foundations.

The role centres on evolving identity architecture, migrating legacy systems into microservices with zero downtime, and collaborating with security and product teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on identity and access design, including SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
• Strong backend engineering background with Golang; identity-focused is a plus.
• Experience migrating live, high-traffic systems with dual writes and staged rollouts.
• Relational data modelling and safe migrations in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own authentication and session management, including SSO and multi-org login configurations.
• Lead safe, incremental migrations from legacy infrastructure with dual-write and staged cutover.
• Design and evolve permission, provisioning and authentication systems (SCIM, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).
• Apply identity security best practices: MFA, session management, audit logging, credentials and token handling.
• Collaborate within a small pod with senior staff engineers.
• Build AI-native automations and integrate AI tooling into delivery workflows.
