Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team. You will build scalable backend services with Golang, own features end-to-end, and deepen expertise in identity using OpenID Connect and SAML on AWS.

Work includes authentication flows, multi-tenant design and secure coding practices, collaborating with product and design teams to enable safe migrations and robust platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services in a SaaS platform with a scalable architecture.
• Ownership of features from design to delivery in collaboration with product/design/engineers.
• Experience with authentication flows and user lifecycle management (signup/login/MFA/SSO).
• Experience with migrations using feature flags and safe rollouts.
• Strong focus on secure handling of credentials and tokens.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services in a large-scale SaaS platform.
• Take ownership of features from inception to delivery in collaboration with product and design.
• Build authentication and user lifecycle flows including SSO and MFA.
• Contribute to migration away from legacy identity services with safe rollout strategies.
• Ensure security and careful handling of credentials/tokens.
