Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape engineering excellence and build out a scalable, data-intensive search platform. You will own end-to-end search delivery, lead architectural decisions, and contribute across frontend and backend services using React, TypeScript, Golang, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch on AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating large-scale data-intensive applications.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering initiatives across teams.
• Strong background in backend services and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture for search across our platform, combining lexical and semantic search.
• Design, build and operate a large-scale system across front end and back end (React, TypeScript, Golang, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch on AWS).
• Provide technical leadership guiding search architecture and cross-functional collaboration.
• Own search feature delivery end-to-end, from requirements to delivery.
• Balance build-vs-buy decisions and drive high-performance engineering practices.
