Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Sr. Automation Tester to support an IRS code modernization project from Australia. The role blends manual and automated testing, including API/database validation, and requires strong collaboration with developers and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium or Cypress, CI/CD, and a solid testing strategy for functional, regression, and non-functional testing. IRS clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Active IRS MBI clearance is required.
• Experience writing, maintaining, and executing software test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Cypress.
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing, regression and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and translate into clear test plans and cases.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests.
• Set up and manage test environments for different testing activities.
• Perform functional, regression, acceptance, and other testing.
• Develop automated tests using Selenium or Cypress.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution with developers.
• Backend testing involving APIs, databases, and SQL where applicable.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD processes across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Provide feedback on software quality, defects, and risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation coverage.
