Job summary

Talent is seeking 6 Senior Automation Testers (APS6) in a large, values-focused Federal Government Agency to support mobile apps and AI-enabled capabilities. The role combines mobile automation with API/UI/AI testing in multidisciplinary Agile teams, building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring test coverage across complex digital solutions.

Locations include Richmond or Geelong, VIC with hybrid work (minimum 1 in-office day/week).

Qualifications

• 5+ years' mobile application testing and test automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver, with Cucumber/BDD.
• Mobile automation experience using Appium, Espresso, XCUITest.
• REST API testing with Postman, including API automation.
• Experience testing Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Experience developing reusable automation frameworks and test suites.
• CI/CD exposure with Jenkins or Bamboo; building automated test pipelines.
• Experience across functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing AI-enabled applications or services.
• Strong Agile delivery, analytical and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications.
• Deliver functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable automation suites across UI, APIs and mobile platforms.
• Test REST APIs and integrated Salesforce / MuleSoft solutions.
• Validate AI-enabled features, including reliability and consistency of generated outputs.
• Develop test scenarios covering expected behaviour, edge cases and failure conditions.
• Manage defects and work with development teams through resolution.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to ongoing QA improvement.
