Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Senior Automation Process Engineer for our MoRDC facility in Western Sydney. You will optimise the performance of one of Australia's most advanced automated distribution centres, leading improvements across shuttle technology, controls, and material flow systems.

The role requires degree-level engineering expertise and a track record of delivering performance gains through structured problem solving.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience in automated warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, or other highly automated environments.
Strong understanding of automated material handling systems, controls, software interfaces, and system integration.
Proven track record delivering sustainable performance improvements through structured problem solving.
Proficiency with Excel and Power BI for performance reporting.

Responsibilities

Build expertise in the Adapto system and its equipment, controls, software interactions, and performance.
Analyse operational data to identify throughput, quality, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives from problem identification through to implementation and sustainment.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to eliminate recurring losses and optimise site performance.
Mentor site teams in problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
