UGL is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering – Secondary Systems team in Brisbane. You will deliver SCADA and control systems design for substations, generation plants and control centres, ensuring high-quality, compliant engineering outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Systems Engineering.
• Proven SCADA/automation engineering experience in utilities, power or industrial environments.
• Strong PLC/RTU programming and SCADA platform experience (Citect, Wonderware, MicroSCADA).
• Knowledge of SCADA protocols and standards (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).
• Experience in end-to-end control system design from concept to commissioning.

Aufgaben

• Deliver SCADA and control system design including PLC/RTU/HMI/IED integration.
• Develop automation logic and control schemes for power/industrial applications.
• Coordinate design activities across disciplines and manage interfaces with project stakeholders.
• Support testing, commissioning and site activities as required.
• Provide technical input to tenders, business development and project delivery teams.
• Review and verify engineering designs for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices.
