Job summary

Foundry Talent Partners is seeking a Senior Associate to join its project finance team in Sydney. The role focuses on evaluating, structuring and executing major development and infrastructure financing, with emphasis on financial modelling and commercial assessment.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, coordinate with internal teams and funding partners, and contribute to financing strategies across a portfolio of projects from feasibility to close and ongoing management.

Qualifications

• Background in project finance from a banking environment or infrastructure advisory/consulting.
• Strong financial modelling capabilities.
• Experience assessing complex project financing structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project finance models to assess feasibility, returns, funding needs and outcomes.
• Evaluate and structure financing solutions for infrastructure projects.
• Perform debt sizing, cash flow analysis, sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling.
• Assess gearing, debt service coverage ratios, loan life coverage ratios and project returns.
• Support funding strategy including debt and equity structuring and engagement with funding partners.
• Coordinate financing transactions including lender engagement, due diligence, documentation and financial close.
• Prepare financial analysis, investment papers and recommendations for senior management and committees.
• Collaborate with development, investment, legal and commercial teams to assess risks and optimise capital structures.
• Monitor project financial performance and ensure compliance with financing arrangements.
