Qualifications

• 2–4 years PQE in banking & finance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on deal structuring, execution and negotiation for major projects.
• Gain exposure to both lender- and sponsor-side work.
• Manage matters from structuring through financial close.
• Work across acquisitions, refinancings and new project financings (energy transition, social housing, large-scale infrastructure).

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated legal professional to join a high-performing project finance team in Sydney. You’ll be working on some of the most significant infrastructure and energy transactions in the market. This role places you at the center of large-scale, complex financings, offering substantial hands‑on experience and direct partner exposure. As a key member of the practice, your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on deal structuring, execution, and negotiation for major projects and infrastructure assets.
• Gaining comprehensive exposure to both lender and sponsor-side work.
• Managing matters from early-stage structuring through to financial close.
• Working across diverse financing structures, including acquisitions, refinancings, and new project financings for sectors such as energy transition, social housing, and large-scale infrastructure.
• Collaborating with industry-recognized experts known for their dedication to hands‑on mentorship.

You

We are looking for a proactive lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced transactional environment. The ideal PQE is between 2-4 within a banking and finance practice. A background in project or structured finance is ideal but not esseential, as long as you have strong technical drafting skills and an eye for detail.
