Job summary

China Construction Bank in Sydney seeks an experienced Senior Associate/Associate Director to support the Project Finance team in origination, execution and ongoing portfolio management. The role focuses on developing project finance opportunities and coordinating with the deal team to close transactions.

The candidate should bring 6+ years in project finance or related lending, strong financial modelling skills, and the ability to manage client relationships in a collaborative, on-site team

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in business, math or science; legal training is a plus.
• At least 6 years in project finance, specialised lending, advisory or related senior roles.
• Experience with financial modelling and credit analysis.
• Ability to work with clients and lead deal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and communication in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and market studies on target industries and project finance opportunities.
• Assist leadership to review opportunities and prepare term sheets and pitch books.
• Provide structuring inputs and credit analysis for new transactions.
• Prepare credit memos and papers for internal approvals.
• Negotiate finance documentation and support live transactions to close deals.
• Monitor credit risks and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
