Job summary

NAB in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Associate for Credit Structuring & Execution in CSE. This client-facing role sits with Coverage Bankers and focuses on end-to-end execution from credit memo to documentation, ensuring high standards of risk management and stakeholder collaboration.

Based in Melbourne, you will partner with internal teams to deliver strong client outcomes, manage risk, and coach junior members while continuously improving productivity and turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, credit and financial analysis capability, including financial modelling.
• Understanding of debt and financial markets products, with solid credit and execution experience (including documentation).
• Proven ability to work across internal stakeholders in a regulated, compliance-focused environment.
• Customer-focused with strong organisational and time management skills and a proven record of delivering high-quality work within required timelines.
• CIB experience preferred, but strong customer-facing banking experience welcomed with potential.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Client Coverage, Markets and Products, plus internal partners to deliver strong customer satisfaction and drive growth.
• Manage ongoing risk profile monitoring and compliance requirements across assigned client groups, keeping portfolio hygiene to a high standard.
• Support transaction structuring and end-to-end execution, including credit submissions, financial modelling, documentation, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Embed quality, consistency and continuous improvement in CSE, improving turnaround times and managing business risks.
• Provide strong stakeholder management and coach junior team members (Associates/Analysts) to uplift capability and performance.

• Customer-facing role with regular in-person client engagement, sitting alongside Coverage Bankers
• Own end-to-end execution on complex transactions, from credit memo and modelling through to documentation and stakeholder recommendations

You'll bring to this role:
