Job summary

Fyfe seeks a Senior Asset Planner - Water Growth to support strategic planning for a major water infrastructure program. You will plan for growth and develop asset approaches, asset management plans and business cases balancing service, risk and lifecycle cost.

This role combines demand forecasting, option assessment, investment prioritisation and stakeholder engagement to guide long-term decisions.

Fyfe is seeking a Senior Asset Planner - Water Growth to support strategic planning for a major water infrastructure program. You will plan for growth and develop asset approaches, asset management plans and business cases that balance service, risk, performance and lifecycle cost. This role brings together demand forecasting, option assessment, investment prioritisation, stakeholder engagement and asset information to guide effective long-term decisions.

Key responsibilities

Set strategic asset direction: Develop asset approaches and plans aligned with growth, customer needs and corporate strategy

Forecast future requirements: Analyse demand, service levels, risks, asset condition, financial projections and innovation opportunities

Assess and prioritise options: Evaluate investment choices using lifecycle cost, benefit, risk and service considerations

Develop business cases: Prepare decision frameworks, program briefs and business cases for asset investment

Guide implementation: Review outcomes from operating, maintenance and capital interventions and adjust plans accordingly

Manage asset risk and information: Apply risk processes, define information needs and analyse performance data to support decision-making

Build stakeholder alignment: Engage with operational, technical, delivery and external stakeholders to achieve integrated outcomes

About you

Qualification in Engineering, Science, Asset Management, a trade-based discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Sound understanding of asset management principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Experience with infrastructure assets in water or wastewater systems

Experience developing asset strategies, plans, business cases or investment priorities

Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity and make clear decisions

Strong written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills
