Job summary

Government client (agency undisclosed) in NSW is seeking a Senior Asset Engineer to develop strategies, initiate projects, and provide budgets and scope for asset management initiatives.

You will engage with stakeholders, review policies, and analyse asset condition, performance and risk data to improve council assets over a 10-year horizon. Proficiency with Authority, CIVICA and asset management systems is essential, with a degree in civil engineering and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications.
• Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Authority, CIVICA and Asset Management Systems.
• High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing Strategic Asset Management Plans to improve Council's asset management over a 10 year timeframe.
• Review and implement relevant policies and strategies aimed at the sustainable management of Council's major assets.
• Perform statistical and other analyses on asset condition, performance, and risk data.
• Coordinate the review and integration of infrastructure impacting strategies and plans.
