Job summary

Office of the Health Ombudsman QLD is seeking a Principal Assessment Officer to coordinate risk assessment, triage and assessment of complaints to ensure the Assessment team's activities comply with the Health Ombudsman Act 2013.

The role involves managing matters referred from assessment to other entities, reviewing final reports, and providing guidance on case management for a high-volume workload while upholding records management policies and public interest protections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the assessment team to meet statutory and organisational performance indicators for timeliness and quality.
• Coordinate and provide guidance for assessment case management in a high volume of cases.
• Determine and document sound administrative assessment decisions and reasons regarding complaints and referrals.
