Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Western Australia is seeking a Licensed Asbestos Assessor to join our Occupational Health and Hygiene team on high‑risk removal projects across WA. You will lead air monitoring, clearance inspections and regulatory compliance at client sites.

This role requires proven asbestos removal experience, a current licence, and the ability to work at remote locations for up to two weeks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 Class A asbestos removal projects in last five years.
• Current Asbestos Assessor Licence issued by a state regulator.
• CPCCDE5001 or a tertiary qualification in Science, Building Construction, OH&S, or Environmental Health.
• Experience in remote locations for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Air Monitoring: real‑time air monitoring before, during, and after Class A removal to verify containment.
• Clearance Inspections: visual inspections of removal areas, waste routes, and surroundings after removal.
• Clearance Certification: issue formal Clearance Certificates when area is clear of visible asbestos and fibers.
• Asbestos Identification & Auditing: site surveys, identify ACMs, update management plans and registers.
• Regulatory Liaison: act as technical expert for clients, contractors and regulators ensuring ARCPs meet legal requirements.
• Laboratory Coordination: manage sample collection and submissions to NATA laboratories for analysis.
• Work from client sites for up to two weeks at a time.
