Job summary

WSP in Australia is seeking an Occupational Hygiene and HazMat consultant to support our Earth & Environment team across Western Australia. You’ll conduct sampling for airborne contaminants, develop asbestos monitoring strategies, and undertake surveys to help protect worker health.

You will also provide guidance on asbestos removal projects, IAQ assessments, and mould remediation, while managing diverse projects and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hazardous materials management and occupational hygiene consulting
• Experience measuring occupational exposure to workplace hazards
• Ability to develop client relationships and deliver high service standards
• Interest in report writing, relationships, and project management
• Australian Driver's License
• Asbestos Assessor license highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants and assess hazards
• Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies
• Undertake site surveys and pre-demolition surveys
• Provide guidance on asbestos removal and on-site support
• Conduct IAQ, mould and moisture assessments and remediation guidance
• Manage small to medium projects
• Assist with strategy and business development
• Analyse data and prepare technical reports and proposals
