Job summary

WSP is seeking a Consultant for its Hazardous Materials and Occupational Hygiene team in Grafton, Australia. You will assist clients in evaluating and controlling risks related to hazardous materials, contributing to environmental health and safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting sampling, managing projects, and preparing technical reports. Ideal candidates will have experience in asbestos consultancy or relevant trade experience, hold an Asbestos Assessors Licence, and possess an Australian Driver’s Licence. The position allows for hybrid work with client site visits.

Qualifications

• Asbestos/HazMat consultancy experience preferred.
• Background in asbestos identification or trade experience in Building and Construction is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants and physical hazards.
• Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies.
• Undertake site surveys for hazardous building materials.
• Provide guidance during asbestos removal projects.
• Conduct indoor air quality assessments and provide remediation recommendations.
• Manage a range of small- to medium-scale projects.
• Assist with strategy and business development.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals.
