Job summary

WSP's Earth and Environment team in Perth, WA, is seeking a Senior Occupational Hygiene and HazMat Consultant to join our high-performing OHH team. The role offers hybrid working with time on client sites and from home, supporting a diverse client base across Western Australia.

You will lead hazardous materials assessments (asbestos, lead, PCBs), provide exposure/risk assessments, develop control strategies, and mentor junior staff, while ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and

Qualifications

Post-secondary qualification in a scientific field, e.g., occupational hygiene.
5+ years in hazardous materials management and occupational hygiene consulting.
Strong knowledge of Australian regulations and codes of practice.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality reports.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage hazardous materials assessments from survey to remediation.
Provide occupational hygiene advice including exposure assessment and risk management.
Develop and implement hazardous materials and hygiene monitoring programs.
Ensure compliance with Australian legislation and industry standards.
Prepare technical reports and client communications.
Mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
Build and maintain client relationships and identify new opportunities.
Stay current with industry developments and technology trends.
