Job summary

The Baker's Duck in Toowoomba, Queensland seeks an experienced baker to join our production team. You will work in an established bakery that focuses on naturally leavened sourdough, pastries and seasonal products, contributing to quality and consistency.

After training, you will operate in a fast-paced production environment, collaborate with apprentices and developing bakers, and help drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and production standards.

Qualifications

• Commercial bread baking experience.
• Baking qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and safe work practices.
• Ability to work afternoon and night shifts.
• Weekend availability (minimum one weekend day).
• Physically capable of working in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• Ability to follow production systems and written procedures with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production standards and contribute to the continued development of the bread department.
• Work independently after training and induction.
• Collaborate with apprentices and developing bakers, fostering a positive learning environment and leading by example.
