Job summary

KE Select is seeking a senior applications specialist in Australia to provide expert-level support for advanced microscopy and imaging solutions. This is not a traditional support role; you will blend deep technical credibility with commercial awareness to influence opportunities, tenders and key accounts.

You will work autonomously, train customers, and collaborate with sales, service and product teams across ANZ.

• Contribute technical expertise to strategic opportunities, tenders and major account proposals
• Support commercial decisions relating to solution design, product positioning and pricing
• Work closely with sales, service, product and marketing teams across Australia, New Zealand and the wider global business
• Develop scalable and consistent application-support processes across the ANZ region
• Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, internal capability and operational efficiency
• Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders and influential stakeholders within the microscopy community

This is a senior individual contributor position designed for a recognised technical expert who can provide high-level support for sophisticated microscopy solutions while helping to shape and strengthen application-support capabilities across ANZ.

This is not a traditional applications-support role. You will combine deep technical expertise with commercial awareness, strategic influence and process improvement, playing an important role in major opportunities, tenders, key accounts and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level applications and technical support across advanced microscopy and imaging solutions
• Partner with customers to understand complex scientific, workflow and imaging requirements

About You

You will be an accomplished scientific-instrumentation professional with strong technical knowledge of microscopy, imaging systems or a closely related technology.

Your experience may have been developed through applications support, technical sales, product management, field service or another customer-facing scientific role.

You Will Ideally Bring

• Significant experience with microscopy, imaging systems or sophisticated scientific instrumentation
• Strong technical credibility and the ability to become a trusted advisor to experienced scientific customers
• Experience supporting complex technical solutions, demonstrations, installations or customer training
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how technical expertise contributes to sales outcomes
• Exposure to tenders, major proposals, strategic accounts or complex purchasing processes
• Strong ownership and the confidence to operate autonomously in a senior individual contributor capacity
• Excellent cross-functional stakeholder-management and influencing skills
• The ability to develop, standardise and improve technical-support processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A relevant qualification in science, life sciences, engineering, microscopy, imaging or a related discipline
