Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking a Senior Analyst Developer to maintain and enhance a suite of critical business applications supporting network operations. You will design and deliver technical solutions, improve system performance and engage with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical tech outcomes.

The role offers exposure to both development and operations, with on-call support arrangements and opportunities to influence strategic technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud technologies.
• SQL Server development and performance optimisation.
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Git source control.

• Support ongoing operation, maintenance and performance of critical business applications and integrated systems.
• Undertake system enhancements, upgrades, testing, deployments and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Provide specialist advice on system capabilities, application architecture and future enhancements.
• Participate in technology and business improvement projects from planning through to delivery.
• Work with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement system improvements.
• Contribute to operational support activities, including participation in on-call support arrangements where required.

As a Senior Analyst Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining, enhancing and optimising a suite of critical business applications that support essential network operations.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors, you'll design and deliver innovative technical solutions, improve system performance, solve complex business challenges and contribute to strategic technology initiatives.

This role offers something unique: the opportunity to work across both development and operations, giving you true end-to-end exposure to the full application lifecycle. You'll partner with business and technical stakeholders, contribute to strategic improvements, and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of systems that support critical operational services.

Our two head office locations are Sydney Haymarket and Newcastle, and we are open to where the candidate is based.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop and implement technical solutions that improve business processes and system capability.

Support the ongoing operation, maintenance and performance of critical business applications and integrated systems.

What you bring to the role
