Ausgrid, Australia’s east coast electricity distributor, seeks an experienced Field Delivery Manager to lead large multi‑disciplinary teams across the network. You will drive safety, operational improvements and successful delivery of critical work in communities you serve.

In this leadership role you will shape culture, guide teamwork and embed new technologies to support the energy transition while managing budgets and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or electrical trade with extensive experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Electrical Safety Rules.
• Proven ability to lead large multi‑disciplinary field teams and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop large multi‑disciplinary field teams, drive capability growth and recruitment.
• Foster a strong safety culture with proactive safety conversations and improved systems.
• Uphold customer service standards while driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee rollout of new enterprise technologies, systems and processes.
• Identify root causes, implement corrective actions and meet budget targets.
• Coordinate timely responses to breakdowns and emergencies and manage resources.

Our Field Delivery Managers are at the heart of how we keep our communities powered - safely, reliably and with pride. What you’ll lead and deliver

• The performance, engagement and development of large multi‑disciplinary field teams. Supporting capability growth, succession planning and recruitment.
• A strong, positive safety culture by guiding difficult but important conversations, proposing improvements to safety systems, and lifting individual accountability for safe work.
• Productivity and commercially focused customer service standards, while championing continuous improvement across all field operations.
• Operational changes, including rollout of new enterprise technologies, systems and processes.
• Reliable performance against work targets by identifying root causes of issues and implementing practical corrective actions.
• Oversight of complex network problem resolution within your area of accountability.
• Effective planning and use of labour, plant and materials to meet Business Plan deliverables.
• Timely, coordinated responses to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Accurate budget administration and financial guidance for Supervisors to manage cost exposure and risk.

What you bring to the role

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or electrical trade (or craft certificate) with extensive experience.
• Class C Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in the energy industry including well developed understanding of regulatory frameworks, standards, specifications and Electrical Safety Rules.
• Proven knowledge and application of safety management systems.
• Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Recognised analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Highly evident communication skills both written and oral with a customer focus for service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal matters.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams for improved performance.
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships across a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.
