Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Senior Analyst – AHS Technology Operations Centre to join our Technology Operations team on a 7/7 days and nights roster based at the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in West Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Operations Centre, you will provide technical expertise for Hancock Iron Ore’s Autonomous Haulage System, including offboard applications, servers and network integrations, and serve as the primary escalation point for incidents in a 24-hour operating

Qualifications

• Experience providing application support for Autonomous Haulage Systems (offboard).
• Experience monitoring AH System performance via dashboards and logs.
• Advanced troubleshooting across application, server, integration and network layers.
• Experience coordinating complex incident responses in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key contact for Autonomous Haulage System incidents reported by operational teams or system alerts; triage and document in ServiceNow.
• Provide advanced operational support across the offboard environment, including applications, servers, integrations and network connectivity.
• Proactively monitor dashboards, logs and health data to identify faults and determine recovery paths.
• Coordinate and lead technical response to Technology Major Incidents with relevant teams and vendors.
• Mentor Analysts in the Technology Operations Centre to build capability and consistent practices.
• Identify recurring incidents and contribute to knowledge base with resolutions and guides.

About the role:

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Senior Analyst – AHS Technology Operations Centre to join our Technology Operations team on a 7/7 days and nights roster based at our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in West Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Operations Centre, you will provide technical expertise for Hancock Iron Ore’s Autonomous Haulage System. This includes providing application support across the offboard environment, including applications, servers and network layers.

As the primary escalation point for autonomous haulage incidents in the Remote Operations Centre, you will work within a 24-hour operational model to proactively monitor service performance and provide real-time technical support to operational personnel. You will lead complex incident investigations and collaborate closely with internal Technology teams and vendors to restore services, strengthen system reliability and maintain high service availability.

Duties:

• Serve as the key contact for Autonomous Haulage System incidents reported by operational teams or identified through system alerts and monitoring platforms. Assess, triage, troubleshoot and document incidents in ServiceNow, with a focus on safe and effective resolution at first contact
• Provide advanced operational support and technical investigation across the offboard Autonomous Haulage System environment, including applications, servers, system integrations, interfaces and network connectivity
• Proactively monitor system dashboards, logs, alerts, infrastructure health indicators and performance data to identify faults, emerging trends and potential service degradation, and determine the appropriate recovery or escalation pathway
• Coordinate and lead the technical response to Technology Major Incidents, ensuring timely engagement of relevant technology teams, engineering resources and vendors, while providing clear and consistent updates to operational and Technology stakeholders
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Technology Operations Centre Analysts, supporting capability development and consistent operational support practices
• Identify recurring incidents and service improvement opportunities and contribute to the knowledge base by documenting resolutions and developing troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience providing application support for Autonomous Haulage Systems, covering the offboard application, server and integration environment, on platforms such as Caterpillar MineStar Command, Komatsu FrontRunner AHS or comparable systems
• Experience monitoring and diagnosing Autonomous Haulage System performance using dashboards, alerts, system logs and infrastructure health data
• Advanced troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate faults across application, server, integration and network layers
• Experience assessing, triaging and resolving incidents in a safety- and production-critical 24x7 operating environment
• Experience coordinating complex incident responses involving operational teams, internal Technology teams and vendors
• Experience using an information technology service management platform, such as ServiceNow, to record, manage, escalated and document incidents
