Job summary

Mondiale VGL, a global logistics leader, is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager in Sydney to own carrier relationships, manage air imports/exports, and lead a growing operations team.

You will shape pricing strategy with Sales and Key Account Management, ensure compliance with IATA and Dangerous Goods rules, and drive performance across airlines and co-loaders while upholding reliability and care. This role offers scope to influence the commercial outcome in a fast-paced, global business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years airfreight experience with active relationships across airlines/co-loaders.
• Proven ability to negotiate rates and secure capacity.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Strong knowledge of IATA regs, air waybill docs and DG requirements.
• Familiar with CargoWise or similar freight systems.
• Commercial judgement to balance operations and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Own carrier relationships and negotiate rates with airlines and co-loaders.
• Oversee air imports/exports, documentation, compliance, and exceptions.
• Coach and develop Air Operators and Coordinators.
• Influence pricing and win rate with Sales and Key Account Management.
• Ensure compliance with IATA, Dangerous Goods, and Border Force rules.
