Job summary

Mondiale VGL Pty is a global logistics leader with deep roots in Oceania and operations spanning 19 markets. We’re seeking a senior airfreight professional to own carrier relationships, drive operational excellence, and lead a high-performing team in Sydney.

You will influence pricing, work closely with Sales and Key Account Management, and ensure compliance with IATA, DG, and border regulations to maintain credibility and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven airfreight experience with current relationships across airlines and/or co-loaders.
• Track record of negotiating rates and capacity that move the needle.
• Confidence leading and developing a team.
• Strong knowledge of IATA regs, air waybill documentation, and DG requirements.
• CargoWise experience (or similar freight system).
• Judgement to operate commercially, not just operationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the carrier relationships with airlines and co-loaders, negotiating rates and securing space.
• Oversee air imports/exports, documentation, compliance, and exceptions to keep operations on time.
• Lead, coach, and develop Air Operators and Coordinators.
• Collaborate with Sales and Key Account Management to shape pricing and win rate.
• Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, Dangerous Goods, and Border Force requirements.
