Job summary

Mondiale VGL, a global logistics leader, is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager in Sydney. You will own airline relationships, negotiate rates, coordinate air imports/exports, and lead a team of operators to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

You’ll shape commercial outcomes with Sales and KAM, stay ahead of IATA regs and DG requirements, and drive operational excellence across the airfreight desk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven airfreight experience and current relationships across airlines and/or co-loaders
• Track record of negotiating rates and capacity that move the needle
• Confidence leading and developing a team
• Strong knowledge of IATA regs, air waybill documentation, and DG requirements

Responsibilities

• Owning the carrier relationships. You'll be the person airlines and co-loaders want to do business with — negotiating rates, securing space, and sorting out problems before they become headaches.
• Running the show operationally. Air imports, air exports, documentation, compliance, exceptions — you'll keep it all moving smoothly and on time.
• Leading a team that trusts you. You'll coach, develop, and back your Air Operators and Coordinators so they can do their best work.
• Shaping the commercial outcome. Working closely with Sales and Key Account Management, your market knowledge will directly influence pricing and win rate.
• Keeping us compliant and credible. IATA regulations, Dangerous Goods, Border Force requirements — you'll make sure we're always ahead of the curve.
