Job summary

IAG is hiring a Senior Agentic Software Engineer in its Retail Insurance Australia division. Join a hands-on technical leadership role to design, deliver and evolve agentic software and data solutions across product, architecture, platform and risk teams.

You will mentor engineers, improve standards, and drive reusable engineering capabilities in a security-conscious environment. The role is permanent full-time, based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex software, data or automation solutions with hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex, secure, scalable software and data solutions with agentic practices.
• Design reusable engineering capabilities, including agent instructions, workflows, controls, automation and reference implementations.
• Engineer reliable workflows providing context, tools, permissions, testing and recovery for software agents.
• Convert incidents and delivery insights into improved standards, tests and assets.
• Mentor engineers and support teams adopting agentic practices and quality improvements.
• Lead experimentation with emerging agentic technologies and translate successful approaches into scalable practices.
