Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Senior Aeronautical Engineer or Senior Technical Officer (Structures) to sustain and support the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleet from RAAF Amberley, Queensland. You will lead structural integrity efforts across lifecycle stages and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain peak airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Hold tertiary qualifications or MAML in mechanical, structural or aerospace engineering.
• Extensive experience in aircraft structural engineering, including modification and sustainment.
• Knowledge of structural analysis techniques and certification processes within DASR, CASA, EASA or EMAR environments.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Australian Citizenship is required to meet Defence security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering activities related to the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler maintenance program.
• Develop, validate, and review structural designs, load assessments, and repair solutions per the EMS.
• Perform structural studies (static strength, durability/fatigue) to determine structural integrity.
• Work towards Engineering Authority and Delegations.
• Uphold Boeing values and safety culture as a team member.
