Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Structures to join our Deep Maintenance Team at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. You will perform complex structural maintenance and repairs on F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft, with exposure to advanced composite repair techniques in a safety-critical environment.

Working within a highly skilled team, you will interpret engineering drawings, complete maintenance documentation and support depot-level maintenance

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures).
• Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures.
• Experience performing aircraft structural repairs in a regulated aviation environment.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft structural inspections and repairs.
• Composite structure assessment and repair.
• Metallic structure repair and restoration.
• Removal and replacement of aircraft structural components.
• Fabrication and installation of repair schemes.
• Corrosion assessment and rectification.
• Aircraft modification activities.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical publications.
• Completion of maintenance documentation and certification activities.
• Compliance with safety, quality and airworthiness requirements.
