Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Principal Aerospace Structural Engineer to support the ASI program for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler. Based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD, you will drive structural integrity activities across the aircraft life cycle with a focus on safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage complex fatigue analyses, and develop engineering artefacts within a regulated aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical from a nationally accredited program (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
• 15+ years of experience in aircraft structural integrity (ASI) or aircraft repairs including structures design, analysis or engineering support to in-service operations.
• Experience in regulated aviation environments (DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA) and strong analytical data synthesis capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills within a multi-discipline team; proactive and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Support the ASI Program through lifecycle phases and the ASI master plan.
• Monitor and manage aircraft structural fatigue life for safety and reliability.
• Own projects end-to-end across functional groups, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Identify challenges and develop innovative solutions with minimal direction.
• Share knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative team environment.
