Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia invites seasoned Principal Aerospace Structural Engineer to support the ASI program for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler. Based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD, you will guide life-cycle activities and ensure airworthiness across multiple aircraft programs.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering in aerospace/aeronautical/mechanical, 15+ years of ASI experience, and the ability to obtain NV1 clearance. Australian citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical from nationally accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience in aircraft structural integrity (ASI) or aircraft repairs.
• Experience in regulated aviation environments (DASR, CASA, FAA, EASA).
• Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, synthesize and analyse data.
• Strong communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams; proactive and results-driven.
• Australian Citizens with ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the ASI Program through life cycle and master plan.
• Monitor and manage the Aircraft structural fatigue life for safety and reliability.
• Own projects across functional groups from inception to completion with timely delivery.
• Identify challenges and develop innovative solutions without waiting for direction.
• Foster collaboration by sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.
