Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is partnering with a major Australian retailer to recruit a Senior Accountant for a 12-month contract in Sydney. You’ll join the Asset Management team to drive a finance transformation and support the SAP S/4HANA go-live.

You will lead capital and fixed asset data migration from Great Plains/Dynamics to SAP S/4HANA, oversee UAT, month-end close and balance sheet consolidations, while coordinating with an offshore delivery team to deliver reliable financial reporting.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience in finance, shared services or global business services.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Great Plains or Dynamics 365.
• Experience in an ERP implementation, including UAT and data migration.
• Experience in an offshore or outsourced shared services delivery is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of capital and fixed asset accounting, and experience in process improvement and documenting SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital/asset data migration to SAP S/4HANA with data integrity and ledger matching
• Drive UAT program: script development, execution, and data variance resolution
• Oversee month-end journals, reconciliations and P&L/balance sheet consolidations
• Map asset accounting in the new ERP with SOPs and control frameworks
• Mentor the offshore team with training and knowledge transfer
• Support external audit activities (half-year and full-year)
