Job summary

Deliver-ME Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia is seeking a hands-on Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls across the logistics business. You will work with management to analyse costs, prepare statements and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
• CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, management reporting and statutory compliance.
• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with management and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Prepare and review profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Examine operating costs, revenue and expenditure and provide financial analysis to management.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Review customer billing, supplier and carrier charges and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Analyse freight, warehousing and operational costs for cost control opportunities.
• Assist with GST, BAS and other statutory and financial compliance requirements.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable performance.
