Job summary

Richard Lloyd Recruitment is seeking a Company Accountant for our Sydney office. You will take ownership of the finance function, working closely with leadership and an external accounting firm to manage daily accounting, invoicing, and reporting in a hands-on SME environment.

The role emphasizes process improvement and automation, with regular monthly reporting, bank reconciliations, and close collaboration with operations to ensure accurate freight invoicing.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, freight, transport or shipping is required.
• Hands-on, practical accountant comfortable in SME environments.
• Strong communication with operations and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for the business.
• Produce monthly financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage AP/AR.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure freight and invoicing accuracy.
• Review timesheets and driver run sheets; seek process improvements.
