Vetpartners in Rockhampton, QLD is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Accountant for a flexible, tailored role. You will manage a portfolio of business clients, prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work while mentoring colleagues within a capable internal team.

Fully remote across Australia, with mentoring from Directors and a clear pathway toward Supervisor. The role offers long-term stability, autonomy, and a negotiable package that aligns with experience and life goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of combined experience in bookkeeping and office/business administration within international operating environments.
• Advanced proficiency in cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks), MS Excel, and business administration tools (Google Workspace, MS 365).
• Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Business Administration (e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, ICBA preferred)

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Accounting: Maintain multi-currency ledgers, record daily financial transactions, and oversee full-charge bookkeeping routines.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee global invoicing, track accounts receivable, and process vendor payments and cash flow schedules.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Execute daily bank and account reconciliations, preparing foundational financial reports and trial balances for executive management.
• Operational Administration: Streamline company workflows, maintain centralized document repositories, and manage vendor relationships and contracts.
• Payroll & Expense Support: Process monthly global payroll adjustments, calculate contractor fees, and audit internal expense reimbursements.
