Job summary

Carey Group is seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager in Rockhampton. You will own a client portfolio, move beyond compliance, and advise on business planning with support from Partners.

The role offers location flexibility to work remotely or relocate to North Queensland and advance through the business with clear progression. You will manage client relationships, deliver quality financial statements and tax work, and expand into advisory services while collaborating with Partners on

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Services, Tax or Advisory.
• CA or CPA preferred but not necessary.
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage own portfolio of clients as trusted advisor.
• Build and maintain relationships with business owners and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and compliance work.
• Move into advisory work: planning, structuring and growth conversations.
• Work with Partners on complex client matters and strategy.
• Identify opportunities to add value beyond compliance.
• Engage with clients including primary producers and rural businesses.
