Job summary

ACCIONA Infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team, employed via GEOTECH PTY LTD. You will own month-end close, prepare financial statements, and provide technical accounting expertise as the business grows.

You will lead two direct reports, partner with budget managers on forecasting, strengthen controls, and support audits. A CPA/CA/ACCA and 5–7 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA) or nearing completion.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations.
• Deliver statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
• Guide and develop two direct reports.
• Partner with budget managers on forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance.
• Support audit activity and provide technical accounting advice.
