Job summary

Ecolab Pty Ltd in Townsville, QLD, is seeking a hands-on Account Manager for the Water Mining/Heavy division. You will build relationships, ensure service satisfaction, and use a consultative sales approach to introduce new technologies.

Preference for Townsville residents; role requires travel with overnight stays. Full and extensive training will be provided to support you in delivering effective process and water treatment solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal & external customers.
• Good mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to service execution.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong will to succeed and commit to ongoing learning and development.
• High commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality.
• Background in sales and/or mineral process operations or water treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing customers in the sector and support field trials of process reagents.
• Equipment testing, water sampling, chemical analysis and optimizing chemical treatment programs.
• Troubleshoot technical problems to ensure ongoing chemical treatment of process units and water facilities.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to gain new business via planning, prospecting and partnerships.
• Develop strong client relationships by delivering value-added service.
• Manage customer inventories and product delivery.
• Gain understanding of in-field processes and water treatment services.
