Job summary

Amazon Leo in Redmond, WA seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and run 3–5 axis machines, inspect with GD&T, and collaborate with engineers on process improvements. Qualifications

• 5+ years in hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace or hands-on engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machining centers with advanced fixturing.
• Perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and probing; interpret GD&T.
• Identify and drive process improvements in cycle time, tool life, and part quality with teams.
• Make real-time offsets and parameter adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Mentor CNC machinists on setup, troubleshooting, and best practices for safety and quality.
• Document standardized work instructions and setup sheets for recurring jobs.
