Job summary

ILM in Sydney is seeking a Senior Modeler to bridge artistic vision and technical execution, creating high-quality models for production. You will work with both organic sculpting and hard-surface techniques to deliver production-ready assets.

The role requires advanced Maya and ZBrush skills, 5–8+ years in a VFX or feature animation pipeline, and a collaborative, proactive mindset. The position is hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days on-site per week and occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of professional VFX or feature animation experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya and ZBrush.
• Ability to model high quality assets in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex assets and shot work (creatures, characters, props, environments).
• Build production-ready assets that are clean, efficient and optimised.
• Collaborate with artists from other departments to achieve the desired look.
• Deliver high-quality work to schedule with accurate time estimates and updates.
