Job summary

Lucasfilm/ILM in Sydney is seeking a Senior Modeler to bridge artistic vision and technical execution. You will work with both organic sculpting and hard surface modeling to construct high-quality models for production.

You will need 5 to 8+ years of experience in a VFX or feature animation environment, strong collaboration, and the ability to deliver assets on schedule. Hybrid work requires 2 on-site days per week with occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of professional experience in a VFX or feature animation pipeline.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya and ZBrush; adaptability to proprietary software.
• Clear, proactive communication and reliable time management.
• Collaborative and problem-solving mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of assets and shot work including creatures, characters, vehicles, props and environments with minimal supervision.
• Build production-ready assets that are clean, efficient, and fully optimized.
• Collaborate with artists from other departments to achieve the desired look.
• Deliver high-quality work to schedule with accurate time estimates and proactive updates.
• Participate in show reviews and implement feedback efficiently.
