Job summary

Hills Storage is seeking a casual Self Storage Sales and Customer Service Assistant to support the Manager at our Hills District facilities. The role requires availability 2 days per week (Fri and Sat) with potential additional weekdays or Sundays on roster.

Responsibilities include selling space and packaging, processing truck hires, payments, and basic maintenance. Forklift training/licensing is provided if needed; prior forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and customer service is essential.
• Solid computer skills and basic cash handling experience are preferred.
• Candidate should be flexible and reliable, with weekend availability.
• Forklift license is an advantage and training/licensing will be provided if needed.
• Experience in self storage or similar service industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell rental storage space and packaging supplies.
• Process Truck and Trailer hires and related payments.
• Manage stock control and debt recovery procedures.
• Handle cleaning and minor property maintenance tasks.
• Assist with other tasks as requested and follow sales process.
• Be prepared to open/close the store and work weekends.

Self Storage Sales and Customer Service Assistant

Our Business
Self Storage is a growth industry in Australia and we are a growing family owned Self Storage business with currently 3facilities in the Hills District of Sydney. (Rouse Hill, Castle Hill, Galston).

Role
We are are looking for aCasual Self Storage Sales, Customer Service and MaintenanceAssistant to the Manager to work at our facilities. The candidate would need to be available 2 days per week at least on a Friday and Saturday. Additional days would be required from time to time including Weekdays and Sundays. This role is varied, covering all aspects of the day to day operations of a Self Storage Facility.

Responsibilities
With full training provided the main responsibilities include selling rental of Self Storage space,selling packaging supplies, processing Truck and Trailer hires,stock control,processing payments, debt recovery, cleaning, minor property maintenance and assistance with other tasks as requested. Operation of a forkliftis also a requirement and the successful applicant will receive training and licensing. We are looking for a well groomed self motivated individual who willhave the ability to communicate confidently and sell in line with our sales process. As this role also involves weekend work responsibility is taken for opening and closing the store and working independently after the required training has been provided.Up to 3 days a week will be available during the training period. School hours are potentially available on weekdays.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must beflexible and reliable. Sales and Customer Service experience with good computer skills preferred but not essential if we believe the candidate would perform well with training. Holding a licencefor a forklift an advantage but also not essential as we will provide training and licensing.Experience in self storage ideal however furniture removals,rentals or hotel industry a plus.

Hours of Work
Current operating hours are as follows.

8:00am - 5:00pm Weekdays
8:00am - 4:00pm Saturdays
10:00am - 4:00pm Sundays

This role involves could eventually involve working at any of our 3 sites in the Hills area as per the roster so a car licence is a must. However currently this role would be begin at our Galston store.
