Job summary

Storage Ideas Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive Customer Service and Racking Maintenance Inspector to perform on-site safety audits, quote and manage service and repairs, and support the sales team on tenders across New South Wales and other states.

The role requires strong organisational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. A current Australian driver’s licence and working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong technical skills and comfortable with a hands-on role.
• Experience in B2B solution selling and customer relations.
• Understanding of measurement and sizing concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Mechanical aptitude; trade qualification advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic construction can assist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite visual safety audits and reports on storage systems across NSW and other states.
• Implement Service and Maintenance Agreements for customers.
• Re generate existing client contact from internal database.
• Data entry of reporting into internal database.
• Quote and arrange all service and repairs for the business.
• Attend onsite meetings.
• Support a sales team on tenders and projects.
• Liaise with Audit Scheduler daily.

Customer Service and Racking Maintenance Inspector

Storage Ideas is one of Sydney’s leading suppliers of warehouse racking and industrial shelving. For over 50 years, we have offered a complete service in the design, supply, and installation of storage solutions.

An opportunity exists for a self-driven, organised, and fast paced Sales Support and Customer Service professional to join our team. We are looking for someone who is technically minded with strong relationship building skills who can juggle multiple projects at once.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct onsite visual safety audits and reports on storage systems across New South Wales and Other States
• Implementing Service and Maintenance Agreements for new and existing customers
• Re generate existing client contact from internal database
• Data entry of reporting into internal database
• Quote and arrange all service and repairs for the business
• Attend onsite meetings
• Quote internal sales as required
• Support a sales team on tenders and projects
• Liaise with Audit Scheduler on a daily basis

As the right person for this role, you:

• Are organised and self motivated
• Have strong technical skills
• Have a good commercial attitude and strong desire to forge close relationships with customers
• Are confident and can communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
• Have experience in business to business solution selling
• Have understanding of measurement and sizing
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have mechanical aptitude (a trade qualification would be advantageous but not essential)
• Knowledge in basic Construction would be of assistance

You will be dependable, ambitious and highly organised with a proven sales track record.

Additionally, working rights in Australia and a current driver’s licence is required for this role.
