Job summary

Lumia Care is seeking Community Support Workers to assist elderly clients in Auburn, Parramatta and surrounding areas. You will provide social support, transport, shopping help and meaningful community outings, while delivering personal care to enable clients to stay independent at home.

We offer paid induction, professional development, mentoring and a range of shifts from Monday to Friday, with a minimum 3 days availability. A valid driver’s license and checks are required.

Qualifications

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.
• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent desirable.
• Current First Aid certificate, Police check, NDIS Worker screening and WWCC (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support clients in the community with social activities, transport and outings.
• Provide personal care with dignity and assist at home with domestic tasks.
• Meal preparation, companionship and helping clients stay independent.

About The Role

• Your role will involve supporting clients in the community by providing social support, transport, shopping assistance and meaningful outings in the community. Delivering personal care with dignity and helping clients stay independent at home through domestic support, meal preparation and warm, reliable companionship.

• What we are looking for:
• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable, current Nursing students will also be considered.
• Experience in aged care within the community is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is a MUST.
• Current First Aid certificate, Police check, NDIS Worker screening check and Working with Children Check (mandatory) or willingness to obtain.
