Job summary

Lumia Care is seeking Community Support Workers to assist elderly clients in their own homes across the Bayside region, including Cheltenham, Hampton, and surrounding areas. You will help clients stay independent while staying connected to their community.

Join a supportive team with mentoring, paid induction, and a regular Monday–Friday roster. A valid driver’s licence and a reliable insured vehicle are essential to visit clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• Caring and empathetic individuals with a reliable character.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a community/home-care setting.
• Certification in Aged Care/Disability/Community work preferred or in progress.
• Experience in community or aged-care environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide social support, companionship, and meaningful engagement to clients.
• Assist with transport, shopping, and outings.
• Deliver personal care with dignity and respect.
• Support with domestic tasks and meal preparation.

The Opportunity

We’re urgently looking for Community Support Workers living in the Bayside Region ( Cheltenham/ Hampton/ Bayside) In this rewarding role, you’ll support elderly clients to live safely and independently in their own homes—while staying connected to their community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing social support, companionship, and meaningful engagement
• Assisting with transport, shopping, and outings
• Delivering personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting with domestic tasks and meal preparation

What You’ll Get

• Ongoing support from experienced mentors and team leaders
• Paid induction and continuous training
• Regular weekday roster (Mon–Fri, 7am–5pm)
• Minimum 2 days availability required

What We’re Looking For

• Caring, empathetic, and reliable individuals
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Cert III/IV in Aged Care, Disability, Community (or studying Nursing – highly regarded)
• Community/aged care experience
• Driver’s licence + reliable insured vehicle (essential)
• Current checks (or willingness to obtain): First Aid/CPR, Police Check, NDIS, WWCC
