Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lismore, NSW is seeking an experienced Security Technician to service, maintain and upgrade critical security systems across a portfolio of sites. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and commission new installations, working hands‑on with a skilled team.

Based in the Lismore region, the role requires a trade qualification and NSW Security Licence with the ability to travel as needed. You’ll join a global leader delivering safe, smart building solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Security Technician or similar field service role.
• Valid NSW Security Licence and related trade qualifications.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and commissioning skills on security systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and service documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing ability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic security systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Deliver system upgrades, modifications, and project work.
• Commission newly installed systems and verify performance.
• Prepare quotations and recommendations for repairs and improvements.
• Provide technical advice and build strong customer relationships.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams to ensure delivery.
• Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards and Johnson Controls SHEMS.
• Travel within the region as required.
