Job summary

Johnson Controls in Australia is seeking a Security Commissioning Technician to join our Systems team. You will commission, configure, test, and optimise security systems including Access Control, CCTV, and Intercom solutions across construction projects and large environments.

The role requires 2–6 years' experience, a trade qualification in Security Systems, and the ability to obtain NSW Security Provider Licence.

Qualifications

2–6 years of experience as a Security Technician or similar roles.
Trade qualification in Security Systems or related field.
Ability to obtain or hold a NSW Security Provider Licence.
Experience commissioning, configuring and troubleshooting integrated security solutions.
Strong knowledge of IT networks, server configuration and system integration.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, configure and maintain security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intercom).
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with guidance as needed.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Support project planning, scheduling and execution activities.
Mentor junior technicians and apprentices where required.
Ensure safety and compliance with SHEMS and procedures.
