Job summary

Johnson Controls in Sydney is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician to join our service team. You will service and maintain advanced security systems across commercial sites, perform installs, upgrades and commissioning, and develop strong client relationships.

The role offers hands-on technical problem solving, exposure to multiple security platforms, and opportunities to progress into project delivery, leadership and sales tracks.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar security technician role.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding experience.
Sound networking, systems and PC knowledge.
Experience installing, servicing and commissioning electronic security systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair security systems across customer sites
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections
Deliver small to medium security upgrades and fit-out projects
Commission newly installed security systems
Prepare quotations for repair works and recommended upgrades
Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical support
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Support the wider Projects Team across new and existing customer sites
