Job summary

Securecorp Electronics in Australia is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Installation Technician to join our Electronics Team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will install and maintain access control, intruder alarms, and CCTV across client sites, working with Project Managers to deliver high-quality installations and timely commissioning.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, problem solving, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Strong knowledge of circuitry, cabling, and system integration.
• Experience with access control, alarms, and CCTV systems.
• Ability to work independently on-site and manage jobs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electronic Security Installation Technician to join our Electronics Team on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role

This role is suited to a skilled, hands‑on technician with proven experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems. You will work across a range of client sites, delivering high‑quality installations and ongoing support for access control, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems.

You will work closely with Project Managers and Operations to deliver small to medium installation projects and ensure systems are commissioned to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission electronic security systems including:
  • Access Control
  • Electronic Intruder Alarms
  • CCTV systems
• Conduct site assessments and assist with system design and equipment placement
• Perform repairs, upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting of hardware and software
• Complete small to medium installation projects as directed by Operations
• Provide technical support and system training to clients
• Liaise with Project Managers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to specification
• Carry out routine maintenance and fault‑finding
• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Accurately document installations, servicing, and maintenance work
• Stay up to date with industry standards and emerging technologies

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven, hands‑on experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry, cabling, and system integration
• Experience with access control, alarm, and CCTV systems
• Ability to work independently and manage jobs on‑site
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills

Licences & Requirements

• Private Security Individual Registration
• Victorian Security Registration
• Open Cabling Registration
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Full‑time, permanent work rights in Australia
• White Card (Red Card acceptable)
• EWP Licence (desirable)
