Job summary

Controltech Security Solutions Pty Ltd – Melbourne, VIC is seeking an experienced Security Technician to install, program and commission commercial security systems, with autonomy and a varied role that supports growth within the company.

You will work across access control, alarm, CCTV and intercom projects, delivering installations, upgrades and service across commercial sites with a strong emphasis on quality and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Security Licence.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Varied work across installations, upgrades, commissioning, projects and service.
• Autonomy to manage your work, with support available when you need it.

Responsibilities

• Installing, programming and commissioning access control, alarm, CCTV and intercom systems.
• Delivering new installations, fit-outs, upgrades and system expansions across commercial sites.
• Troubleshooting and servicing electronic security systems.
• Completing work to a high standard, including testing, handover and documentation.
• Supporting apprentices where appropriate.

Install, program and commission commercial security systems in a role offering autonomy, variety and genuine scope to grow with Controltech Security Solutions (CSS).

CSS is a growing electronic security business backed by an established building technologies group. We deliver commercial security solutions and are building a team that values quality workmanship, accountability and practical support.

We are looking for an experienced Security Technician who is comfortable taking ownership of their work, operating autonomously when required and contributing positively to a close-knit team. The role offers a genuine mix of installation, programming, commissioning, upgrades and service work, rather than being limited to one type of task.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing, programming and commissioning access control, alarm, CCTV and intercom systems
• Delivering new installations, fit-outs, upgrades and system expansions across commercial sites
• Troubleshooting and servicing new and existing electronic security systems
• Completing work to a high standard, including accurate testing, handover and documentation
• Supporting and sharing knowledge with apprentices where appropriate

About you

• Hands-on experience in electronic security installation, programming, commissioning and service
• Confident working independently, organising your day and following work through to completion
• Strong IT and networking understanding relevant to modern security systems
• Professional with clients, reliable within the team and committed to doing quality work

Systems and platforms

You may work across a range of major brands, with a strong focus on:

• Inner Range, Integriti and Inception
• Tecom / Challenger
• Hikvision and Dahua
• Hanwha and Wisenet WAVE

You do not need experience across every platform. Relevant experience with comparable commercial systems will also be valued.
